For a different resort this year, use one of our homemade desserts. The lemon cake is rich not only tasty, but makes a great center in your table or dessert. Instructions for the decoration of this Thanksgiving and Christmas are in Central America at the end of this recipe. You can easily use their own ideas to make this center for beautiful holiday otherwise.
Rich Lemon Cake
1 1 / 2 cup granulated sugar
2 cups flour cake
2 v. tea baking powder
1 (3 ounce) package lemon gelatin
3 / milk 4 cup low-fat
2 / 3 cup oil Canola
2 cup lemon lemon extract
4 large eggs, separated
In a bowl, sift together 1 1 / 4 cups sugar, flour, yeast and gelatin. In a small bowl, combine milk, oil and lemon extract. Whisk the liquid into dry ingredients until mixture is smooth. Beat the yolks, one at a time, mass.
In a clean bowl, beat egg whites with 1 / 4 cup sugar until stiff but not dry. Double egg whites slightly but little depth to the dough.
Spray a ring with a nonstick cooking spray and sprinkle lightly with flour. Pour the batter into pan and bake at 325 degrees by 40 to 50 minutes until cake springs back lightly when gently touched. Immediately turn out onto a cooling rack.
NOTE: To make nice cake for Christmas use as Christmas centerpiece or serving table, place the cooled cake on a pretty cake plate. Using a thin butter cream or frosting favorite target, drizzle over top of cake allowing some to drizzle by the parties. Place 6 or 8-drained maraschino cherries dry and spaced on the top of the cake. Connect the cherries with a thin line of green vine or bitumen in place of cherry leaves around. Thicken the remaining ice and make a ball or a border around the bottom of pie shell. The position of a large red or green candle in the center of the cake.
To use a color master thickened Thanksgiving some ice in the colors of autumn and make scattered leaves on top. Make bottom edge of the same color as the candle in the fall. Insert candle in the center.
