CAFE BAR COOKIES

A cup of brown sugar, firmly packed
1 / 2 cup solid vegetable shortening
1 egg
1 / 2 cup of hot coffee
1 3 / 4 cup all-purpose flour
1 / 2 teaspoon baking soda

1 / 2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray baking pan 9 x 13 inches with an aerosol nonstick cooking spray and set aside.

In a large bowl cream together brown sugar and frosting until creamy. Add egg and coffee, mix well. Sift together flour, baking soda, salt and dust baking, add to sugar mixture. Add vanilla, chocolate and walnuts. Place in a baking dish. Bake for 20 minutes or until firm. Sprinkle with a dash of powdered sugar if desired.

BARS honey lemon

1 / 2 cup softened butter
1 / 4 cup granulated sugar
1 cup + 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour, divided
3 / 4 cup honey
1 / 2 cup lemon juice
3 eggs
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 / 2 teaspoon baking powder

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a medium bowl, cream sugar and butter until powder light and fluffy. Add 1 cup flour and mix until smooth. Press mixture into bottom of a 9-inch square, pressing regularly make a crust. Bake for 20 minutes or until lightly browned at 350 degrees.

While crust or baked in a medium bowl, combine 1 tablespoon flour, yeast, honey, lemon juice, eggs and lemon zest until well mixed. Pour over baked crust, bake for 20 minutes or until filling is defined. Cool in pan before serving.

To replace the sugar??

I make lemon frosting and have a cup of powdered sugar but I would need four I used to use sugar as a substitute for, or what I could use it as a replacement please help! thatnks!

Remove the beaters and bowl from the refrigerator and pour the cream, sugar, and extract vanilla. Beat just until marks drummer begins to become clear. Add gelatin mixture to the cream, pour in a steady stream whisking constantly. Beat until stiff peaks form. Spread on cooled cake immediately.
