Container Gardening with Herbs for Potpourri

A garden containing herbs and flowers for potpourri is a simple way to get
children involved gardening. Children love to help and is a good way to introduce them to eventually create your own container garden with vegetables and flowers.

Why we want to grow something that smells good? We love the fragrance and think that everything should be clean smelling. In the early days was used and understood sanitation, fresh air is considered hazardous. Medley was created from wanting a fresh, clean fragrance to replace unwanted odors and rancid in the castles and cottages. It was soon discovered that the cleaning, the smell of fresh flowers, herbs and spices has an ability to mask odors.

Some history of the use and creation of potpourri. He is French, which means "burp" as a wet process for the manufacture of the pot was used but using the dry method.

It has never been easier for the home or apartment city to create a garden containing wonderful pleasure. Select herbs and flowers for the perfume you want on your potpourri. A good combination of roses, thyme and lavender can produce a pot-pourri wonderful.

Choose containers based on the size of plants and herbs. Any pot with drainage holes a good job. Cover the drain holes with leaves softener used and filled with a mixture of 50% compost and potting mix.

3. 1-1/2 oz each of moss and thyme.
4. G 8 slices of orange zest.
5. 4 ounces benzoin
6. Several handfuls of flowers others like violets and blueberries.
7. 1 / 4 ounce of cloves and anise combined.
8. Mix and season

Pour into jars and bags and enjoy!
